YWCA Vermont envisioned vibrant, equitable and connected communities where women and girls thrive with access to opportunities for education wellness growth and leadership. Their anchor program, Camp Hochelaga, has been offering traditional summer camp experiences since 1919 and each summer over 100 campers from all over Vermont, United States and the world pass through the camps front gates to enter a place of adventure self-expression teamwork and lifelong friendship.
THE CHALLENGE
In 2021, while doing much of their work remotely due to the pandemic, it was identified that high-level Strategic support as well as day today operational IT support was required by the growing team to ensure continuity and minimize downtime.
One of their significant frustrations was the lack of high-level strategic support and planning. A lack of overall integration across computers and systems and a long-term understanding of costs, made it difficult for them to make decisions. In addition to this, operational staff cannot reliably connect to efficient health test support, resulting in lengthy downtimes and multiple independent systems.
